The Bolsey-Flex

  1. Really very nice. Lovely camera too.
Thanks again. It's really nice to have you back again on a regular basis.

  2. Gene -- I have owned one of those, and it is a very nice color if you are into the 1950s avocado color scheme. Interesting that the Alpa camera represents the opposite end of the Bolsey spectrum. As always, you get some nice images from those crappy-ish cameras.

  3. The design of this Bolsey-Flex is very interesting and attractive (to me at least). The pictures you took with it are good too. I think the lens sharpness is well above average for a box camera. I wouldn't mind having a camera like this. Thanks for sharing Gene.

  4. Classy little camera. Setting leather/vinyl panels into metal surrounds is a design technique that always seems to add an air of quality to a camera, and I rather like the putrid green . Obviously, it has a reasonable lens, and you've done it justice. Thanks, Gene.

  5. Very cool; everything about it is *Art Deco...

*"an eclectic style that combines traditional craft motifs with machine age imagery and materials. The style is often characterized by rich colors, bold geometric shapes and lavish ornamentation"

  6. The photos were better than I expected. Good job. It's gorgeous camera that's in need of a nice, coal black dye job.

  7. Realyl Nice camera. I would be hapyp with such a beast as it really is a step above .. albeit a step above the "box" camera. The color is OK.. "viva la difference" Excellent phopts truly enjoyed the snow! I guess enough is enouigh for snow.. still those that have it dread it.. those that don'T wish it! Mixed bag I guess. There are quite a few ISIng Bolsey cameras out there!

  9. Wow, big dump of snow there! Mr. Bosley looks like a dodgy magician....which I suppose he was.
Classy looking camera though, looks a bit like those ubiquitous 8mm Japanese cine cameras from the side, still very neat.
As for the colour, when we bought our house, which was built in the late forties, the toilet was that shade of green and the seat was pink...really classy!
