alfaromeo
I need a simple software to create my web gallery. What is the best free/ freetrial software to download. Any help will be appreciated.
bobatkins
Define simple! <p> A PHP and MySql application like Coppermine or simple HTML file. <p> Look at <a href="http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/digital/picasa_review.html">Picasa</a>. Simple and easy - and free. It will resize the images, create thumbnails and generate the necessary HTML code without requiring much user imput other than selecting the images. dean.wette
I like JAlbum. It's free and works on any OS that runs Java. http://jalbum.net/
jay_reiter1
I'll second the kudos to JAlbum - the learning curve is really short, the galleries are excellent.
andrew duncan
<a href="http://www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/">SimpleViewer<a> is a basic web gallery that uses <a href="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash">flash</a>, and is quite easy to use. bobatkins
There's a template for Picasa that generates all the required images and thumbnails for Simpleviewer and makes a gallery. Simpleviewer itself doesn't make the thumbnails for you or create the gallery structure.
tom_swanson
I also recommend jalbum. Note that the jalbum application requires java but the galleries it creates do not. (Well, they could but they don't have to.)
manuel_zamora_morschhaeuse
A very good, open source gallery software is "Gallery" in its Version 2. It runs with PHP and has a lot of powerful features, but still runs quick. Very good for larger galleries! You can get it here: http://gallery.menalto.com/ Manuel
