erik_hattrem
Many times i hear, only use Rodinal in 1+25 or 1+50. Well, i have seen many cooll and nice photos when 1+100 has been used. Today i developed this picture:http://foto.no/cgi-bin/bildegalleri/vis_bilde.cgi? id=309227&sort=ID&brukerid=0&kategori=&hideThumbs=0&brukernivaa=0&lukketforum=0& offsett=0&foreningsid=&nomenus=&serieid=0&minimumanbefalinger=1 The film was Technical Pan 120 in Rodinal 1+300 for 12 minutes. Iso 25. I didnt presoak and i lowered the film into the soup. I made 1 litre of working solution, to get make sure the developer colud take 12 pictures. Many of the shots was superb. So does any other here use this metohd and do yoy know other films that stand out great in this thin Rodinal soup?

randall ellis
I primarily (%95 of the time) use Rodinal 1:100, so take a look at my website if you would like to see what kind of results you can get. I occasionally use 1:200 stand development with Rodinal (%5 of the time) and get very nice results as well. For stand I find that 30 seconds of initial agitation and then let it sit for an hour or so works quite nicely. Rodinal is good stuff...

- Randy

larrydressler
Andrew Look at all those tones that is what I expect from Rodinal at higher dilution. Randall Have you ever used Forma R09? I find it is though an older version of rodinal also great at higher dilution. 1-50 in Rodinal is 1-40 in 09 but at 1-100 I find no differance. except the 09 might have just a little more edge effect. randall ellis
Larry, No, I've only used the Agfa Rodinal product. I'm working with FX-1 right now to see if I can use it to expand the range of my results, but I've not tried the older formula. I've heard that it is not all the different from the Agfa version though. It's interesting to hear that it might give slightly different effects. Thanks for the info! - Randy
jtk
Randall, that's gorgeous work. I've got some shots and tests to run 1:100/stand today for the first time. I use R-09 and assume it's identical to Rodinal for practical purposes.
jtk
fyi I'm VERY unhappy with results of 1:100 Acros stand development. Continued on another thread.
