dagoimaging
I apologize if this has been asked before, but in case it hasn't...here goes. I'm looking for a good workflow and/or software to process large numbers of Team Sports. More appropriately I'm shooting a Swim Team (220 kids) at the end of October. I'm one of two photographers for the shoot. No action shots...the typical team shot and then individual poses. Our problem is when we do our PP work. The other photog is my day-time boss...but the roles are in reverse when we're talking photography and software. :) I love role reversal. Anyway, with each kid (or 75% of them) purchasing a package, our time invested in PP could be quite large. We have templates in CS2 for memory mates (individua wallet size w/ a 5x7 team on one 8x10) but it's still quite time consuming. Does anyone know of a good software that is specialized for this type of work? Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Ciao, Nico
warrenlewis
Can it be outsourced successfully?
dagoimaging
not and keep our costs in check, we're doing this to make some money and save the team some money. I don't mind buying a program since it will get addtional use, but to pay someone else to PP and organize kills any profit we make.
patricklavoie
Hmm, i think that Lightroom would be usefull to managed the database, develop the image, and print a pickture package already define with your signature, logo etc... It might be something better, but since i dont no others, i certainly give it a try. 30 demo on adobe web site.
dagoimaging
Thanks, I bought Lightroom...it's only $99 for full version from www.academicsuperstore.com if you meet the eligibility requirements...and since I have kids in school I do. I also have a wife thats a teacher, so I win twice. :) I will be buying CS3 extended soon as well.
