light gallery
Hello, fellow shutterbugs.
I am here in Tacoma, about 40 miles south of Seattle most likely through mid August and was wonder if anyone reading this would happen to know where (Community College, perhaps) I might attend a class where I might gain some knowledge to take back home to my little town in southern Arizona (100 miles from Phoenix).
I hope to learn some hands on knowledge of scanning, editing and printing from 4X5 color transparencies. At this time I do not yet want to use a 35mm or medium format digital camera, but still create images using large format FujiChrome film. I have a pretty good handle on exposure of this film and envision making overlapping exposures, scanned in an Epson 750V scanner and stitched, for some highly detailed prints on a large format Epson printer I hope to purchase. I don't yet have the Epson 750V, either. I just want to go somewhere to get some hands on knowledge.
Can anyone recommend a good class coming up this spring?
Thanks for your help.
Walt Puciata

tony_sirgedas
I'd fire off an email to the PPW to see if they have anyone as a member who may be able to assist you. They also have classes coming up through the Evergreen School of Professional Photography.
www.ppw.org
