john_sutton
I've just purchased my first T90. I notice that information on the frame number and film load check remain visible on the display panel even when the camera is switched off. I guess this is a function of the back-up battery. But is it supposed to stay like that until the camera main power is switched back on again? Nothing displayed when no film loaded.
Would appreciate your advice.
Thanks
tim_brown
It is normal for the display to stay on. I think the back up battery is only loaded when the main batteries are removed for replacement etc., so if you keep the main batteries in the back up battery basically lasts for its "shelf life." mark_dyson1
I've had a T-90 since 1987, it hasn't had a new back-up battery yet and it's still going strong.
terry_carraway
The backup battery only supplies power when the main battery is removed or exhausted.
That way you can change the main batteries without losing the frame count.
Yes, the frame count and film loaded indicator stay on as long as film is loaded. If they go off, something is WRONG.
