darius.tulbure
Sundays - the worst time to post a photograph for critique. Have you noticed that?
karl.jahr
I think you are right. Too many people do it, and within sometimes minutes your picture becomes the proverbial needle in the haystack.
Norma Desmond
I find I get the most responses around 1 PM Pacific Standard Time (California). Not a scientific study, though. I do think that eye-catching photos and female nudes get the most attention no matter what time of day it is, so if you tend toward more subtle photos, you may not get as much attention at the same time of day as, say, a landscape with heavily-saturated colors and overmanipulated waterfalls. Lots of variables. One thing you might do, if it really matters to you, is check the last ten photos submitted in the category you are going to submit to. If they have received a decent amount of rates, chances are you may as well. If they've only gotten 1 or 2, I'd wait til some other time. Also, the more rating and critiquing you do of others' photos, the more will rate you. We didn't need dialogue. We had faces!
sketch_tbhotmail.com
So heres a question for you, what day/time do you find are the best time to post photos?
danscool
I think the best time to post a photo to the critique/rate forum is 1600 GMT (london time) on a week day, this is because america are awake then and the traffic seems relitivly slow at that time
petewelsh
I post my pictures as and when I want to .. Rates are nice but dont count for nothing due to the abuse of the system.. I would rather have 5 critique my picture than 0 critique and lots of anonymous 3/3.. :) A question that comes to mind is why are you concerned about what time is the best time? All pictures get put into main gallery anyhow and a lot of genuine comments and genuine ratings come from within there and not immediately on forum ~Peter~
