^^^ summaron 35mm f 3.5 with Leica IIIf ^^^

What is specification about this lense? is it good for Leica IIIf ? what is

the best F - number of this lens for shapnees. is it good in Black and

White flim ?

 

I thinks I must sent it for cleaning ( Have some little spot in

brown ) then I will used it.

Works fine on a iiif with auxillary finder for 35mm lenses. Best stops 5.6 or 8.0. All the rest are quire good, even 22.

 

I would not have bought a lens with brown spots. How do you know this can be cleaned?

It's a wonderful lens. Very nice, especially for portraits. I use one on a IIIC. You do want a lens hood.

 

Don't worry about the spots if you already own it...shoot it, get big prints, evaluate. The spots are probably just coating flaws that won't affect your shots in any noticable way...could be the result of sloppy use of lens cleaning fluid. Condition of the rear element is more important than the front.

The lens performs quite well, as long as you protect it VERY carefully from flare. Here's a shot taken at 5.6.<div></div>

It's an OK lens. It's noticeably soft round the edges if you make a big enlargement - I have a 30" x 20" from it - even at f/11. Contrast is rather low and it's only single-coated. Perfectly sharp in the centre though.

Which lens hood does this lens take? I need one.
