WM
Hello folks,
I'm not sure if this is humanly possible, but is there a way to use the Summarit 50/1.5 LTM or M mount (both versions available) on the digital Fuji XT-1 body? (Noting the non-full-frame sensor, distance to sensor, etc etc….).
Love the glowy look of the old 50/1.5 Summarit but unsure if it will work on a new body like that.
I know there's always an M-digital body or shooting film, but those options are a no go for me, because of budget.
Thanks for your help.
Brian1664876441
I use M-Mount and LTM with u43 using an adapter, similar are available for Fuji X mount. Search Ebay for "Fuji X Leica Adapter".
john_shriver
Sure, the adapters are to M-mount, and then you add an LTM to M-mount adapter if using an LTM Summarit.
Of course, you won't get the really swirly corners on the APS-C sized sensors.
Brian1664876441
There are a number of classic Planar formula lenses available, many with a look similar to the Summarit. These lenses are easily adapted to mirrorless cameras. I use the Summarit-M with my Digital Leica's. For the Nikon Df, i use a Schneider Retina-Xenon 50/1.9 that I picked up for about 1/10th the price of the Summarits.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/90768661@N02/sets/
I've been organizing my Flickr to give examples of various lenses, some are unique- as in custom converted to Leica mount.
