jimvanson
I'm looking for an easy to use digital slide show program that will sync withsome of my music (mp3's). The program should also feature simple editing. Beingto port shows from Windows to OSX would be a huge bonus. Can anyone recommendsuch a program? Thanks in advance! ron_kunzelman
I've been using ProShow Gold for about 15 months now and really like it. Don't know how many slide show programs are out there, but ProShow is easy to use and adding music is very easy to do. I have no clue about OSX portability since that is not an issue for me. Ed_Ingold
If you compile the slide show into a movie (DVD format), anyone can play it on a computer or a set top DVD player and their TV, it is compatible with both Windows and OSX, and the images can't be easily copied. I use Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Encore. A cheaper route would be Photoshop Elements plus Premiere Elements. I do high-end video anyway, so this is a piece of cake. lheusinkveld
Many new computers come with "Windows Movie Maker", which does a very respectable job of slide shows with music. Check to see if you already have it. In theory you can also download it (for free) from Microsoft, but I was unsuccessful when I tried for my older PC. robertscherzer
i have used photostory 3 for windows -- it's free from microsoft. it lets you add panning on pictures and add your own music. not much in the way of editing photos, except cropping. you output to wmv files. arranging order on pictures is clumsy but overall it's easy to use and the results are pretty professional. my two cents. robert
