john e v bailey Posted March 6, 2008 Share Posted March 6, 2008 Hi, Just wondering if anyone managed to claim their cashback OK, or rather if anyonehad the same problems I'm having and got them resolved? I've sent off my cashback and finally had the e-mail receipt that said it wasreceived and being processed, it said if 20 days passed since getting thatconfirmation and I still haven't got the cashback in my account then put my codeinto http://www.submissionstatus.com/search.aspx Well it's past that date now (30+ days) and so I went and put my code into thatwebsite and it didn't recognise it, I was very careful and tried several timesbut it simply wouldn't recognise it so I couldn't check my status. As a result I filled out their customer contact form with my purchase details onthat site but have had no contact from them... Where is Canon involved in this process? Is this www.submissionstatus.com acompany that runs cashback/rebates for all different manufacturers and productsor is it Canon's own site? I'm a bit concerned my application might have fallen in the cracks between Canonand the cashback processing company (if they are different)...Any suggestions onmy next steps? steve_bright1 Posted March 7, 2008 Share Posted March 7, 2008 I sent my form via AirSure to Ireland about 3 weeks before the deadline. Soon after the deadline I had an email to say that they'd received it on the day of the deadline. I did ask for it to be paid directly into my bank account, but yesterday I received a cheque! There was the name of a company (not Canon) on the envelope - I imagine that a 3rd party company operates the promo on behalf of Canon. Hopefully your money will come soon. john e v bailey Posted March 14, 2008 Author Share Posted March 14, 2008 Just to close the thread off, after receiving acknowledgement of my claim on Feb 6th and then an e-mail yesterday saying they "wired" me the money on Feb 29th....the money actually turned up in my account 2 days ago (March 12th..they must have used the extra long wires)...maybe they read the forum ;) Claim Acknowledged: Feb 6th.
