cghubbell Posted June 15, 2005 Share Posted June 15, 2005 Just wanted to pass along some feedback. I just just perusing the forums when a Star Wars ad banner starting making constant blaster noises. This had to be the single most annoying experience I've had since I first encountered pop up windows with casino ads on the Internet. When I'm reading about Nature photography there's nothing like a hostile take-over of my sound card to kill the buzz. How about a policy that ads on PN can not make noise? Our ads come from two different networks, and we can block specific ads on one of them but I need to know who the advertiser is so I can identify the ad. mottershead Posted June 15, 2005 Share Posted June 15, 2005 If you notice an obnoxious ad, please make a note of the advertiser and let me know in the Site Feedback forum. We use three ad networks. These are Tribal Fusion, Gorilla Nation, and Google, as well as having some direct relationships with advertisers. (Why do advertising networks have such funky names?) The ads you are describing come from one of the ad networks. Tribal Fusion gives us the ability to block particular advertisers, and we can complain to the other two.
