I was looking at a couple of new M bodies today and noticed that on each one the baseplate would spring open about 5mm when the catch was released. It wouldn't sit in the closed position without light pressure. Have any owners of MPs or M7s noticed this? M2s and M3s do not seem to have the same "springiness" in the baseplate.
