Spotmatic Gear CLA Finished

<p>Just got my Spotmatic SP body, my 50mm 1.4 Super-Takumar radioactive lens and 50mm 4.0 Super-Macro-Takumar lens all back in the stable, CLA'd by Guru Hendrickson. I am a happy camper. Repaired and calibrated meter and shutter speeds. Seals and battery. Had a spare split-screen focus screen so swapped that out (I hate Microprisms). Next to shoot some slides. My neighbor who gave me the rig is breathing hard at the gate to see some pics from his 'old' camera.</p>

<p>Ah....Hopefully the lens is <strong>NOT</strong> radioactive.....Robert</p>

<p>Unfortunately it is, however, Eric said it was only about one-third as intense yellow as others he had seen. I'm going to order the UV light from Amazon with a goose-neck lamp to remove the yellow (I hope).</p>

<p>I tried a black light bulb and a compact fluorescent black light bulb without much luck, then just put mine on a south-facing window for a few days (weeks?) - worked like a charm.</p>
