Spectraview II: best calibration settings?

Discussion in 'Digital Darkroom' started by newberry, Sep 2, 2008.

  1. I have Spectraview II software (v 1.0.42) and an NEC 2490WUXi display (with a Mac Pro). I've found conflicting
information on best settings to use (gamma, white point, contrast, etc.). Anyone have any suggestions? Good
articles/faqs/resources on this topic? My main use is photographs for both print and Web.
  2. on any software that exist as today:

2.2 gamma, 6500k for the white point, 120 cd/m2 ( on the other hand i personnaly prefer 105).

Good articles/faqs/resources on this topic? heres, google or the good book call Color Management for Photographers: Hands on Techniques for Photoshop Users by Andrew Rodney
  3. Thanks for the response. Do you have an opinion on where to set contrast ratio?
  4. monitor default
  5. I use the print standard.tgt. It has D50, with a gamma of 1.8. My prints match my monitor. My monitor is 2090UXi, not as high-end as yours, but probably similar but smaller.
