Sony R1 settings

Excuse this question, but I cannot figure out how to set the camera to get new

numbered directory by itself without going into the menu every time:<br>Thanks

Page 78 of the User Guide (http://esupport.sony.com/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=DSCR1) says that "Up to 4,000 images can be stored in a folder, after which a new folder is automatically created." So it automatically creates a new numbered directory by default unless you want to create a new folder before the old one is full, which is by definition a manual (menu) process. Or am I misunderstanding the question?

Ralph, your understanding is right, my was similar, I just hoped that there is a way to have the folders autocreated, eg. with date in the name or so.<br>Thanks and Kind Regards<br>Martin
