When people are gone.

Community of Grand Bruit. As of 2009 it had an aging population of 31. The last school in the town closed on June 22, 2007 as the last students from the town graduated from elementary school. As of September 2009, 26 out of 31 residents had voted their intent to move.It was founded in the early 19th century. As of 2010 it is no longer inhabited.

That looks quite remote, Nick - is this from a recent visit? Was it hard to reach?

It is Southwest Coast of Newfoundland, we stayed there overnight, 2 days ago. Lots of places here accessible only by the ferry, or helicopter if it's emergency.

Life here is so different from big cities. No cars, no pollution , just fresh ocean breeze .
