Sometimes it doesn't work out...

Just saying, tried to mark the presidential inauguration day with the appropriate camera, but no such luck, focus is out of whack, in both viewing and taking lenses, and the shutter fires at approximately the same speed.

Oh well - need to find time and send it for repair, eventually :-0. RJ

00eKHI-567440384.jpg.d5e401eab4826606e6497573f4244c93.jpg

I have a TLR where all the shutter speeds seem the same, close to the max 1/300.
I set it to 1/300 and assume that is what it does. Usually works.

If the focus is the same for both lenses, then it should work.

Ralf, the failure is the power of the Donald. :D
The shutter timing delay is not functioning/stuck at the fastest speed position. The focus error is likely the focusing mechanism being off. A CLA is in order.

Glen, continuing to operate/use a shutter that the speeds are off 1/2 stop or more will die and such abused shutters rarely restore to correct speeds if they are repairable, some never work again.

The shutter speed on that Compur with the delay timer not working is around 1/100 second. The 1/200 speed uses a booster spring to achieve the faster speed.

Hi Rick, ya this is my second Richter, i have the

commie Reflekta after Richter went defunct with

coated lenses and that one yields excellent

negatives when stopped down a little, the only

thing i hate is the single action shutter which

requires delicate operation to avoid camera

shake...
