miztli
I just acquire a Yunon camera in pretty good condition. It has a aperture ranging from f/6 to f/16 and a 50mm fixed-focus lens. I could not really find something in the internet, just some references. What I would like to know is the shutter speed and fixed-focus distance range. silent1
Shutter speed is most likely about 1/60; the optimum focus is probably about eight to ten feet, but "hyperfocal" at f/8 or slower from 4-5 feet to the horizon.
kirk_teetzel
I bought one hoping that it would be a piece of crap but was disapponited with it's "good" quality.
eric_max
The instruction sheet for the YN 500 states, "the fixed focus lens is set at a distance of approximately 5 meters..." I'd also like to know what shutter speed it uses, or what film speed seems to give good results. I have a new, unused YN 500 and haven't run any film through it yet. The viewfinder is very cloudy. I don't know if this is a common problem.
miztli
I believe the shutter speed is around 1/125 seg. Then the symbols concord with sunny f/16 rule with a ASA 100 film. I tested it with a ASA 200 film asuming 1/125 speed and using a meter for the test. All the pictures were well exposed. Thf f/6 setting produces pictures with low resolution. All other very acceptable. It has some light leaks that I plan to fix before the next roll. Thanks for the focus distance information. At these low apertures everything from 2m to infinite appears on focus.
