So I found a 80-200mm Gemini lens for 20 bucks in a yard sale

John,

Gemini is a brand name for an importer. It's a cheap zoom that was distributed during the heyday of the Canon A series and Minolta X series cameras, the mid 80s. Lenses like this were often advertised for about $50 new. J.C. Penney, Sears, Montgomery Ward, K-Mart and many others sold them. They often bore names like Albinar, Zykkor, CPC, Toyo and of course Gemini.

It is not a quality lens brand. Take pictures with it. If you like the shots, keep it. If not, you can probably find a buyer for $20.

I have two Toyos, one in K mount, the other Minolta. Both were given to me. They have been my introduction to zoom lens dis-assmebly and repair.
