Among other things, it might be interesting to get an idea how

many are out there reading the forum without posting. So if you

don't normally post but only lurk, let us know you're here- on this

thread.. Thank You

I'm in southern California. It's been about 80 degrees

Fahrenheit here the last couple days.

Well, here goes:

I'm up in Tuxedo Park, NY (about 17 degrees Fahrenheit) about 28 miles north of Manhattan. Soon to be returning to my home town of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Leica M6 and R4 here with 35mm, 90mm, and 50mm lenses. Anyone else up here or down there?

Warm regards,

Glen

me from Planet Claire

(B52s lyrics)

(originally from the album The B-52's)

Ahhhahhhahhahh

She came from Planet Claire

I knew she came from there

She drove a Plymouth Satellite

Faster than the speed of light

Planet Claire has pink air

All the trees are red

No one ever dies there

No one has a head

Ahhhahhhahhahh

Some say she's from Mars

Or one of the seven stars

That shine after 3:30 in the morning

WELL SHE ISN'T

She came from Planet Claire

She came from Planet Claire

She came from Planet Claire

Ahhhahhhahhahhahhahh

I live in Santa Barbara, California for most of the year, though we spend some time in Chicago

to be near three of our four grown kids. I shoot a Leica III with a 50mm Summicron as well as

a small Olympus digital for family gatherings. Am considering moving to an M3 in the

future, but not ready for that quite yet.

Gave my Rollei TLR to daughter Susan a few years ago. I suspect she's using it as a coffee

table conversation piece. I post occasionally but feel that I'm among experts here, and

therefore pick my topics for response carefully. I'm fully up to this one.

On the right bank of the Yukon River, 100 miles north of Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. That's just east of Alaska. We're about to go out to visit a friend across the river. No need for a boat - we'll just walk across. It's about -25 degrees F here.

I shoot a couple of M6s; 15, 21, & 28 CVs; a 35 Lux ASPH, 50 Summicron, 50/1.4 Canon, 90 Summicron ASPH and 135 Canon. Also shoot Canon digital & film.

Happy New Year from the Frozen North everyone.
