Good Day Everyone,

I wish to develop my photography skills in the field, quite literally, of nature photography. I own a Nikon D80 and enjoy it very much. I have been interested in adding a telephoto lens to my bag and the Bigma seems to be great value. I have read all there is to read on the internet, so now I would like to ask all of you who actually own this lens: Should I or should I not but this lens?
Any feedback would be most welcome

Thanks

Ben

Welcome Ben,
just to be sure, you may get much better answers in the Nikon forum, or the Nature forum. The new user introductions are really more introductions.
I never owned the Bigma, but just to be sure: it is really big and heavy. Consider to go to a store which holds one to see if that's OK with you before deciding. The internet can not teach you how a 1 kilo plus lens feels like, and not everyone is liking such weights and sizes.
Hope you'll get more conclusive answers though ;-)
