joe_nash1
Took a few pics with my newly acquired Sigma lens. I used the T90 with multispot metering and Kodak Gold 200.<div></div>

don_boyd3
Joe, Good pics. I've never used a T-90 and I'm curious. Did you have the lens on 'A' and let the camera body choose the aperture? Did it tell you what aperture was chosen. The only comment I have about the macro work is it could have used more DOF but there might be 10 reasons why that wasn't possible. The camera-selected exposure seems right. Macro is a world of compromises. Again, good pics. Don B in Hampton Roads
joe_nash1
Don, I was doing a little of both. I was more working on exposure technique more than anything and kind of a lens test per se. Yes, I did a little of both. I had read when doing macro, to shoot at around f/4. I can see also that my DOF was very limited. Next time I will up it to around f/8. I was also using the t90 multi exposure option to select different areas of shadow, highlights, etc, and let the camera do its magic. I just posted these pics to share and keep this great forum going.
canonfduser
The Sigma is a fantastic lens imo. I like the fact that it goes to 1:1 without an extension tube and it's f2.8.
