david_otott
Can anyone tell me how I can find out what the shutter count is (shutter actuations) on my 5D mark II cameras? I rang Canon service and was told I would need to post my cameras to them! I thought, are you kidding me!? There must be an easier way! JDMvW
I have LINK: ShutterCount — DIRE Studio but I've never actually used it so I don't know how well it works. They just posted an update recently so I guess they're still in business.
david_otott
Thanks JDMvW... I ended up biting the bullet and taking my cameras into a Canon service centre to get the shutter counts.
Glenn McCreery
Another solution for a 5D II, and a free one, is to download and install Magic Lantern firmware on a CF card. See: Magic Lantern | About. One of it's features is shutter count.
