Rick Helmke
Evening everyone, Several months ago I sent an 85-250 Nikkor off for repair to Sanford camera repair in Massachusetts. With all that's gone on since then I honestly forgot about it and didn't even miss the lens. It had a sticky aperture and just needed a general service. Sanford was recommended to me here. I called them a week or so ago and paid for the work and it was sitting at my front door this afternoon. I have to say I couldn't be happier. The aperture is working perfectly, the zoom and focus just as smooth as butter. It's like having a new lens. The 85-250 is a great big black metal and glass lens and I've always thought it gives a unique look in the photos I shot with it. I discovered it when I was about 19 but couldn't find one to buy until maybe 8 years ago. The point of all this is simply to say that Sanford is a good place to consider if you have older equipment and some of the problems that can go with it.
