olivier_pascaud
After reading previous threads on the topic of hand-held large format photography I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to shoot color negative in a 3 1/2" x 4 1/4 packfilm polaroid camera such as the 180 or 195 ? This would obviously require to have some 4x5 or 8x10 sheet films cut to the right size and may also require modifications on the camera, but it would enable the possibility of having an inexpensive and lightweight hand-held large format camera. I know there are 110A/B polaraoid cameras converted to 4x5 but that's another story.
robert_eastman
There is a guy in australia that converts 110a/b cameras to roll film. 6x9 if I remember correctly. He sells them through a large auction site and I'm pretty sure he has a website. They have to be cheaper than a 4x5 conversion.
paul moshay
The guy in Australia is Dean Jones. He will convert the Polaroid 110, 110A & B, and many others to cut film or roll film. I am going to send him my 110 for conversion to 4x5 cut film very soon. It will make street photography with 4x5 very easy and less conspicious. (sp?) His email is; razzle@ihug.com.au Paul
james_driscoll2
why go to all the trouble to shoot 6x9- buy a graflex xl or a mamiya universal. you'll be dollars ahead and have a more versitile outfit. or shoot with a linhof 220- there is one on ebay right now and it is a wild small vertical format 6x7 rangefinder with a built in meter. its name is mis-leading it shoots 120 and 220. this is a very cool camera
