jc_mcguire
I have a roll of Ektar 100 and the Unicolor C-41 Kit. Would I get results if I were to shoot and develop night photos and day photos on the same roll since the time and temperature is the same for C-41 across the board? Or did I just imagine reading that somewhere? Is it better to shoot night on one roll and day on a separate one?
john_shriver
Just shoot them all on the same roll and expose properly. C-41 processing is standardized, although you can push, but that's not ideal.
Do understand the reciprocity correction for your film.
craig_shearman1
There is no difference in the C-41 development regardless of subject matter. Whether your photos were shot night or day, inside or outside, etc. has nothing to do with development. The only time development would change is when you "push" the film, that is to shoot say 400-speed film at 800 and then extend the development time to compensate.
