Last weekend, I have a chance to handle a Sharan Rolleiflex 2.8F

subminiature camera. It is very cute, everything make to scale, the

film crank actually works, the pop up finder really has a ground glass

viewfinder screen, the image is in vertical format to match the Minox

8x11 format, isntead of square format of original Rolleiflex TLR

(Why not make it square 8x8mm ?)

The lens is a 3 element 3 group lens, zone focus from 1 meter to

infinity

Meopta Mikroma II is not much larger than Sharan Megahouse Leica IIIf.

Sharan Leica IIIf lens no focusable Mikroma II [.5, .6, .7, .8, .9, 1, 1.2, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3.5, 6, INF]
Sharan Leica IIIf shutter 1/250 Mikroma II:B,5,10,25,50,100,200,400
Sharan Leica IIIF aperture 5.6 Mikroma II: 3.5,4,5.6,8,11

Meopta Mikroma II is a much superior design.
With today's technology, Sharan should at least make a miniature Leica III F
with focusing lens, with variable shutter.

Japanese subminiature camera design technic is going backward.

Made in Ocupied Japan Tone camera is much more sophisticated then Sharan Megahouse Leica IIIf.

Tone has variable focusing lens from 1 feet, 3.5ft, 5ft, infinity

Aperture 3.5,4,6.3,8,11

Shutter B, 25,50 100

Sharan Megahouse Leica IIIf fixed focus lens, f5.6 only, one shutter speed only
