michael_spencer3
I took many photos of the Italian Gardens at the Trentham Estate near Stoke-on-Trent, but I neglected to obtain the particulars on this sculpture of a human body perched inside a hexagonal frame. The picture is two years old and the sculpture may no longer be in the gardens, but if someone familiar with the work can help supply the name of the sculpture and the artist, etc., I would be very grateful. mike spencer

michael_spencer3
Excellent suggestion, Mike.

Here is what they had to say:</pP

"The sculpture is dedicated to the bank of England's clearing house which was based at Trentham during the war. The sculptor is unknown to us but I personally feel the quality and condition of the piece suggests that we may not infact have the original piece that was commissioned by various banks. The material of the piece we have on site is resinated bronze and would appear not to be particularly good quality - perhaps others may have a different opinion. If you can shed any more light on this we would be delighted."

So the plot thickens a little.
Mike S
