MTC Photography
William White Subminiature Photography said the format was 8x11mm,
This could be wrong, the book shows a picture of SCAT, but no cassettes.
Submin.com has a more detailed description,
http://submin.com/16mm/collection/scat/index.htm

SCAT actually is a 16mm half frame camera, frame size 7x10 mm, half of Steky 10x14mm; the short side of the frame parallel tothe film strip
It does not use Minox metal cassette, but uses two separate cassettes, (Like Mikroma) with probably single perforated 16mm film
SCAT does not have a Minox style take up spindle. The film probably is propelled by a finger pushing the sprocket hole.
It is unclear at this moment, whether unbacked 16mm film can be use.
Or whether it uses a film with special sprockets, not standard Kodak performation
I guess Mikroma supply side cassette may fit into SCAT, take up side Mikroma cassette has a spindle, may not fit SCAT
MTC Photography
SCAT camera has no mechanic counter . Instead it uses paper backed (like 120 film) perforated 16mm film, with number printed at the back of the paper. There is a hole at camera back, through which
can see the exposure number. However many SCAT camera' s orginal leather covering had peeled off,
and replaced with leather covering without hole, hence the counter hole is covered over.

The film chambers of SCAT looks very much like that of Minox, a left chamber, a right chamber, and a narrow film channel, without looking at the actual cassettes, one can easily mistaken that SCAT uses Minox cassette. SCAT cassettes are very rare, A complete set of two casstttes is even rarer.

MTC Photography
https://www.photo.net/photo/18353132/untitled The SCAT cassette is not openable, film must be inserted through the slit. The take up chamber and supply chamber looks very much like Minox 8x11, but it is not. William White said in Subminiature Photography that SCAT took Minox cassette and made 8x11 size image is clearly mistaken he may not have seen the actual SCAT cassette, it is a 16mm cassette, there is no way of using Minox cassette. Minox cassette must use spindle drive to advance the film, not by pushing sprocket hole. SCAT cassette is smaller than Mikroma cassette. I find that loading perforated film into SCAT cassette, the film transport has not enough force to over come the friction, and the film slips. Hence load perforated film on the right hand side , the film advance finger pushes the film through sproket hole to the left take up chamber. SCAT lens 25mm f3.5.
