thenuge
I am going to scan 120 negatives on a flatbed and need to find some transparency gel. The negative/transparency is set in the gel - eliminating air bubbles and scratches. Specifically, one brand is Poligel but I have been unable to find it anywhere. Any help will be appreciated. wayne_crider4
Peter I read an article a long time ago about using scanning oil which was, or maybe still is apparently quite popular for some forms of drum scanning. I say this as I recently read some price lists where it noted that no oil was used on the negs. I also read where one lab used oil but cleaned the negs. So, I guess ask a couple of pro labs that digitally scan. Outside of that, I know that Agfa use to make scanning oil so try them.
winddancing__
Parizo. Aztek. Two suppliers of "gels". You might find info on the Yahoo Hi-End Scanners group.
