russell_brooks
Just got a lovely SBLOO (the 35mm viewfinder). Fits great on my IIIf, but it seems a bit loose on my M3. And since it costs a bomb, I dont want to just run around with it loose... Any easy tricks to get it to fit snug on the M? (and no superglue jokes please, I'll want to take it on and off). Also, fwiw, SBLOO backwards is 0 lbs -- just a bit of triva...
vick_ko
Shim up the accessory shoe - put tape in the shoe. That should work. Vick
john_r._fulton_jr.
That SBLOO is highly sought after and very rare. I was looking for one, but finally bought a 35mm Leica brightline finder (part #12021) from a forum member. Those are also quite rare. Depending on the 35mm lens, the finder may have cost more than the lens you have. Take care of it and good luck getting it tightened up.
frederick_muller
I'd put tape on the back of the shoe once the finder is on. An acquaintance of mine had the finder for his 12mm VC Aspherical drop out and break. Imagine the sound of a heavy finder hitting the sidewalk. It's like a $300 hit. ben z
I've never seen a SBLOO in the flesh, but IIRC the Leitz finders I have all have a slit on one side of the foot, which if I insert a thin blade and tweak it ever so gently will cause it to fit tighter in the shoe. stephen_w.
I jammed a toothpick under my SWC finder, cheap, and makes no marks or tape goo.
