leicaglow
I'm not sure what good it will do to sign a petition. If each person on the petition bought one, then that would be a different story.
q.g._de_bakker
A petition (who would you petition?) will do no good.
Franke & Heidecke are no longer with us.
Leaf too has gone.
Sinar is frantically looking for a way to continue their life now that Jenoptik let go of them.
Jenoptik (the 'owner' of the project) doesn't want to have anything to do with digital imaging, Sinar and the Hy6 anymore.

As sad as it may be: it's really over.

l_a_k_h_i_n_d_e_r
What about Phase One, the (new) owners of Leaf? I was hoping they would consider it. In any case, I wonder what happens to support/parts issues for Leaf backs, now that Phase One owns it.
It is sad, we shall be left with effectively only one company providing leaf shutter (not Leaf back) solution in the MF DSLR arena. (Ignoring Mamiya RZ and Fuji 680).
q.g._de_bakker
If anything, Phase One (heavily involved in the digital Mamiya) bought ailing Leaf to get rid of the Hy6. Not to keep the competition alive. (Phase One seized this opportunity to eliminate Leaf, and played no part in the demise of the Hy6. But if they had been able to kill this thing, they certainly would have).
So it's the wrong party to turn to for help.

I think Leaf backs will disappear from the market very soon. Phase One has enough of their own.

If anyone, Jenoptik would be the one to appeal to.
But they said an unmistakable "no" to their Hy6.
graham_mitchell
Michael, F&H's problems had nothing to do with Hy6 sales. In fact they were at full production capacity with that model.
