Karim Ghantous
It should not be surprising that you can photograph some of the planets during the day. But, I confess, I was a little surprised that you could do so. Surprised, but pleasantly so. ;-) Login • Instagram Seeing photographs of Saturn taken from Earth is quite romantic. It's hard to explain exactly.
Glenn McCreery
I have never tried to photograph Saturn or Jupiter in the daytime. However, when I was in high school in about 1960, I took a field trip to Lick Observatory on Mt. Hamilton, outside of San Jose, California. A highlight of the trip was observing Saturn during the day. Here we are observing Saturn through the historic Alvin Clark 36 inch refracting telescope, built in the 1880's. See, Mt. Hamilton Telescopes: Great Lick 36-inch Refractor . I probably used my Argus C3 to take the photo.
