m42dave
I would appreciate a reference to a qualified U.S. repair person. Harry Fleenor at rolleirepairs.com is a respected name in the business. Mark Hansen at zeissikonrolleirepair.com is another possibility (though his site mentions that he is nearly 6 months backlogged). I have not had work done by either technician, however. m_allegretta
I would not attempt an amateur effort to fix a Rolleiflex, even if you had a service manual. I'm not sure which model Rolleiflex you have, but ask Oceanside Camera Repair, Manhattan Beach, California (AKA Harry Fleenor) if they service your model. Oceanside repaired my 2.8C. Niels - NHSN
Dave. Thank you for the reference. Would that I were qualified to do a repair. I would appreciate a reference to a qualified U.S. repair person. If I understand correctly from your previous posts, you are already inside the camera? You may want to disclose that to the tech when you start a dialogue, as some repair specialists will refuse to work on cameras that arrive disassembled etc. Also, no qualified Rollei techs works cheaply, so make sure that the camera in question is worth the cost. Niels - NHSN
Edit to above - I know first hand that Will van Manen Kamera-Service in the Netherlands will not work on Rolleiflex anymore. Not relevant for OP but just in case someone from EU reads this. Niels

John Seaman
Does the camera have a separate remote cable socket? It may be worth trying that. Also could the self timer be stuck half way?
m42dave
No I have not opened the camera as I do not have the expertise to attempt a repair. Yet, you mentioned in a previous post that you had removed the lens assembly from the camera? It sounds like your camera has multiple issues, all the more reason to have it professionally serviced. I'd try one of the technicians recommended above.
robert_bowring
I have had my Rolleiflex serviced by Mark Hansen and he did a very good job.

anthonymarsh
I have no idea what members are reading or reading into my posts. I have not removed the lens assembly only the front elements for cleaning. NO I am not inside the camera body and NO I will not attempt a repair. Is this clear enough? Niels - NHSN
Then you are inside the camera. Removing the front group exposes the shutterblades/aperture, but as long as they are left untouched no harm is done. Niels

I have not removed the lens assembly only the front elements for cleaning. NO I am not inside the camera body and NO I will not attempt a repair. Is this clear enough? In your previous thread, you said: "It is not mounted on the camera, I removed it to clean the elements." I understood "it" to mean the lens assembly, which the service manual shows can be removed. It sounded like you had already attempted some work on the camera, which is why I posted the link to the service manual to troubleshoot the shutter problem, in case it was an easy fix. I did not know what your level of knowledge/experience was. No offense, but I have found your multiple posts a bit terse and somewhat vague. It might help if you took a bit more time to explain what you are trying to do in detail, and posting a photo or two wouldn't hurt either. anthonymarsh
Sorry but I fail to understand what is terse about a simple question. Further I am referring to two different cameras,. The somewhat assumptive replies by some members lead me to believe that there is a certain element of know it all elitism by some members which I neither welcome nor appreciate, therefore this will be my final post on this forum. robert_ante
I would follow the advice to read service manual in order to perhaps assess problem. If simply something stuck that could be fixed by CLA, there are many who could do the job, but if something broken and needs replacement, I would go with someone who specializes in Rollei repair, simply because of parts availability. Many years ago my repairman was somebody who previously had assembled Rolleis at factory. He discovered that my camera came out of factory maladjustEd. Did simple fix and no longer a struggle to set 1/500 sec. He retired long ago.
