Robot Star 50 needing repair

Recommended Posts

Is this a "Classic Manual Camera", it has a spring wind for up to about 50 exposures. The spring motor is good. However the rotary shutter seems to be firing at the same speed, about 1/30sec, regardless of where you set it. I don't see how to take it apart to try and fix this issue. I have seen videos showing how to take apart a Robot Royal but not this Robot. I bought it some time ago for its lenses, 38mm f/2.8 Xenar and 75mm f/3.8 Tele-Xenar, both Schneiders with 13,xxx,xxx numbers from the late 80's to early 90's. I have used them both on my Fuji X-E1.

Does anyone know if and where this camera can be fixed? There was a guy in Germany who worked on these, some time ago, I have tried places in the US without success - there is a parts issue with "old" cameras, they simply are not interested in the work.
