MTC Photography
There are two types of genuine Robot lens hood one both silver color, one screw in with 37.80 thread the other snap in type . The snap in Robot lens hood fits all Robot lens and Robot filters. The screw in Robot lens hood only fits screw in Robot filter, it does not fits Robot snap in filters I also bought a black 38mm screw mount lens hood for Robot Royal on ebay, this is a piece of junk. It does not fit Robot camera lens, too small. Measured with Mastercraft caliper, this lens hood thread is only 37.75mm, a 0.25 mm error is too much than I bought a silver color 38mm screw in lens hood for Robot, it is also 37.75 thread, not 38mm thread Beware of third party lens hood for Robot fron CN, they do not fit any Robot lens nor filter Genuine Robot snap in filter fits all lenses Genuine Robot screw in filter only fits selected Robot lens /filters Edited May 22, 2017 by MTC Photography
john_cooper9
My Robot Star 50 has a 38mm f:2.8 lens with SK number that puts it at 1979/1980 manufacture date. It is fairly deeply set in its mount so does not need a hood as far as I can tell.
