john_morris4
They don't actually say they're clearing out stock, but it's priced to move. I noticed yesterday that Robert White (www.robertwhite.co.uk) have the Bronica RF645 camera, 65mm lens (which is normally sold with the camera) AND 45mm lens (with finder), all for 650 GBP (under $1200). For a buyer in the U.S., who doesn't have to pay the VAT, this is quite a deal. For comparison, B&H currently list the camera with 65mm lens for $1600, and the 45mm lens for $550. When KEH have the camera kit (with 65mm lens), it's usually priced about $900. I have read that Tamron are done with the RF645. But it if meets your needs, it's a brilliant little camera, and both the 65mm and 45mm lenses are splendid. The deal from Robert White seems like a good one, if you need a camera like this. markp
I corresponded with Tamron USA sales about the RF645 a few weeks ago, and indeed, they confirmed that no more are available in their US inventory. They also confirmed that they will not be importing any more to the US. Those that are available on retailer's shelves are all that are left.
