Sandy Vongries
Went in to town for supplies this morning, put a camera in the car as usual - D 750 with 28 - 300, not my favorite lens, but a reasonable compromise for out here. First saw a bunch of Pelicans on the neighbor's pond, took a few shots, then this fine fellow. I was well past him before there was a safe place to stop or turn around so I continued on to town, thinking he would be there when I returned. He was. I parked and walked up shooting. As usual, when I hit his safety limit, he flew. 5 of 10 shots. Edited July 9, 2018 by Sandy Vongries

Bill J Boyd
Next to highway near Llano, Texas. So many photographers were stopping the highway department had to build a parking surface near highway. Then 3-years ago the tree and nest blew over in a Texas wind storm.

tcyin
redtailed hawk by Tom Yin, on Flickr This was one of a mating pair with a nest near my bike path to work. This was a not uncommon sight until they destroyed the chimney which housed their nest, along with a clutch of eggs!! Ugh! 3 www.neurotraveler.com

Glenn McCreery
Bald eagle and nest next to road. The nest was mostly made of bailing twine by, I think, previous osprey tenants. A year later, ospreys were back using the rather messy nest.
