lisa_essex1
I have a Ricoh KR-5 Super and I am trying to find an adapter ring so I can use my Vivitar 62mm screw mount lens. I'm not sure what to do, can anyone give me some advice please? Thanks in advance.
david_lyga
The K-mount adapter which allows M42 screw mount lenses to be used on your camera (manual stop-down only - ie, you must stop the lens down before each shot after focussing wide open) is the easiest of these handy, but rather scarce, adapters to obtain. I believe that B&H sells them for around $20. As handy as these adapters are, they are, however, surprisingly scarce for other cameras. Why can't someone make them cheaply - they are not that complex?
andrewg_ny
I assume that 62mm refers to the Vivitar's filter size, not the focal length or mount--actually 42mm screwmount, correct?
I had a positive experience ordering the Mount Adapter B from pentaxwebstore.com ; some of the 3rd party adapters may result in loss of infinity focus.
tomadakis
If the Rikoh KR-5 Super is K mount you can get the Pentax adapter which gives you infinity focus at Henry's. Search for "pentax adapter". They have the best price and are a very reliable source.
By the way, I removed the safety clip from my adapters so that the lens removes with the adapter from the camera body.
http://www.henrys.com
