chris_burgess3
Hello,
I own a Ricoh 35 De Luxe with the earlier lens that has the smaller filter size. I just need to know the size. I've measured as well as I can with a tape measure, it looks like it could be 26 or 27mm. Does anyone know what the size is?

Thanks
chris_burgess3
Sorry, badly put question; the lens is a Riken Ricomat 4.5cm, f2.8, in a Seikosha-MX shutter, s/n 14269.

Thanks
larry_raisch
There were three models of the 35 Deluxe, plus the Deluxe L. Based on the shutter you have I will assume yours has the PC terminal on the side of the lens, instead of on the rangefinder housing.
If that's the case, yours is the second model (oddly enough, known as the 35 Deluxe 1).
Mine measures 26mm and was presumably intended to take a Series 5 filter in an adapter.

chris_burgess3
Wow, I just did a search for a 26mm filter, no dice! Which Series 5 adapters would work?
larry_raisch
Many of those adapters were of the spring loaded, push-on variety. You will probably have to go to some old camera store or a camera show and bring the camera with you to find one that fits. I don't believe anyone makes them anymore, but Kodak, Vemar and others turned out scads of them in the day.
I have some series 5 and 6 filters and holders to use with old cameras like the Ricohs or my old Crown Graphic and they work fine but for things like polarizers or grad ND filters they aren't going to be much use.
chris_burgess3
Hello,
This lens actually has a female thread, just like a normal, modern filter thread; If I could find any 26mm filters, they might just screw right in. I suppose you're right, I'll have to start searching camera shops and shows.

Thanks
