bryan_simpson
Hello, Could someone tell me the proper way to reverse video in Final Cut Express? I tried using the "reverse" option under "speed" in the "modify" menu, but then the video becomes blurred. Is there a way to avoid this blur? Thanks for your help. brian_b.
No quite sure how linited FC Express is. I use Final Cut Pro III.In FC3 there are filters- one of them being motion (or Speed)Bring that filter up and plug in "-100" or "minus 100 percent"which in FC3 "reverses" the video. The "strobing" "blurring" effect is because the (footage is running in reverse) because you are reversing the "fields" of video. It's best to do this in Adobe After Effects, which allows you to choose between the odd fields or even fields of video when you render the finished file. Then you lose the strobeing effect.Hope this helps!Good luck!
matt_marshall
God I hate interlace! Not only is it a pain to edit with, it looks ugly on screen! I'm really looking forward to the day when HDTV becomes the international standard.
