micah_henry
Folks, All this talk about the Retina IIa made me run a roll of Kodak C-41 Black & White film through mine (that's an ASA 400 film). Here's a couple shots (below). This first one is based on exposure calculations extrapolated from a Leudi II extinction meter (which only has capability for film speeds to 100 Weston or about 80 ASA). --Micah in NC<div></div>

micah_henry
Ugh. I need a proofreader! That should read "Bethlehem BAPTIST Church." --Micah in NC
dean_williams
Nice shots Micah. I like the first shot of the people clapping for the young person there. Everyone is in focus, but you can tell by the blurry hands that they are aplauding. Neat effect. The church shot is very nice. Thanks.
conrad_poulin
Nice work! One thing often forgoten is that when these cameras were sold, they were intended to last the buyer a lifetime. We can't say that about most modern cameras. As proven by your photos technology changes faster than photographic quality.
micah_henry
Dean & Conrad: Thanks, guys! I appreciate the comments! I am going on a car club outing today and think I'll bring the IIa along, too. --Micah in NC

micah_henry
Thanks, Jeff! Nice shot. It was a tricky situation for shooting, I'm sure! --Micah in NC
