Request for user filter

Well, since my request a while back for a twit filter (remember

FIDONET readers?) kinda died, I'm wondering if we might get something

else. On the My Workspace : Community : Community Member pages,

there's a "mark this person as interesting" function.

Might we also get a "mark this person to be ignored" (or my

preference "mark this person as an idiot") feature?

I would much prefer to see good moderation (and I have around here).

Killfiles promote aliases and anonymity. A good moderator will recognize styles and either correct behaviour or succeed in preventing it by starving the poster's need for attention.

Trolls are attracted to boards because they will always have an audience. Even if the moderator/user ratio is 1:1 I don't see how they can ever be stopped. A "good moderator" can't do anything more than delete posts, ban users by IP, or lock threads. That won't do anything to keep trolls from creating new accounts and coming back in.
