Repair on SL2

Where are you? DAG is fantastic of course, but there's also Kinderman in Toronto, who are once again the official Leica agency. Their chief tech, Gerry Smith, is a wiz. He took a lot of time once explaining to me in intricate detail about the flawed design of the SL2 shutter which can be adjusted but lasts only temporarily, so he is extremely knowlegdeable about that camera as well (DAG also is aware of the shutter fault).

The shutter fault affects the high speeds. After the camera has sat for a few hours the first shot (sometimes two)at speeds 1/500-1/2000 (on some cameras as low as 1/250) fire way too fast (the second curtain catches up with the first too soon). If your slow speeds are sticking it's just a routine CLA in order.
