Rechargable Batteries?

Discussion in 'Nikon' started by evan_sears, Dec 6, 2006.

  1. Hey everybody, I'm looking to go for rechargable in lieu of constantly having to
throw away spent alkalines. It feels too wasteful to be throwing out 10
batteries per week- I shoot a ton, and use the SB-800.

Does anyone have any experience using rechargables in this flash? Any
recommendations besides getting a quantum pack?

    Thanks,
    EVan

  2. Go to:

    www.thomasdistributing.com

and buy the 2700 Powerex rechargables with a Maha charger.

I have used them for years and they are sensational.

    Yeah, get NiMH rechargable AAs.

  4. www.mahaenergy.com

Their reputation and betteries are both very good.

  5. People take a dim view of multiple posts to several forums such as yours.

  6. Duhn, sure. 2500 or 2700s. I use Energizers in my Sb-800. Joe Smith

  7. Um....check the weddings forum, since you posted there as well.

  8. Thought you already asked this in weddings.

  9. With NiMH you're also going to have faster recycle times than with traditional AA.
