wmwhee
In a way, photographs are photographs regardless of the equipment used to make them, especially when it comes to screen images on the internet. I mean, Who can tell much about these pictures? Still, equipment--camera, format, lenses, film--may influence choice of subject matter and approach to it. I like photographs. I also am interested in photography equipment. Some forums have a section devoted to discussion of the equipment and a section given to pictures made with the equipment. The Leica and Rangefinder Forum comes to mind. To make a long story short, I am posting a link to my photonet gallery featuring some recent photographs made with large format equipment. Look under "recent" at end of gallery. http://www.photo.net/photos/wmwhee (I don't know how to post url as hyperlink.) Bill
Troll
Looking at the other work (particularly the Family section), I can't imaging why you'd want to change to LF. That self-portrait is a real Zinger!
wmwhee
Thanks for your comment, Bill. I still enjoy using a 35mm camera and, while my orientation for years has been b&w film photography, I have begun to take pictures with a digital slr camera my wife gave me as a gift. Using a large format camera--playing at being a photographer, I tell friends--gives me great pleasure. As you can tell, I use it primarily to produce documentary photographs, which may well be of more interest to me, because of the subject matter, than to others. One of these days I hope to submit photographs to the photography archive of the local public library. Well, I have gotten way off topic. I wouldn't mind seeing large format work by others. Thanks again. Bill
Troll
Well, Bill, I too love the emotional pleasure of working with LF equipment, even though after 55 years I've never made a single LF image worth keeping. Something about "doing it right," I guess.
