toeknee
I have decided upon the Quantum Q Flash, but am unsure whether I can afford, or need the X2. The T2 seems to be in my current price range, but am soliciting advice on whether to wait and save or purchase now. I have a bracket, and am planning on using the flash with my Bronica SQ-AI (and perhaps my Nikon as well) for weddings and some portraiture. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. In addition, thanks to everyone for an informative, and entertaining site.
ellis_vener_photography
If you already have Quantum Turbo or Turbo Z batteries stick with the T2. If you already have Lumadyne or Norman 400 w/s battery systems then get the X2. That is the prime if not the sole difference.
ed farmer - mount laurel,
Tony, The X2 also has a (not so bright) modeling light. I have several T's and T2's, and I have never missed the modeling light. The Turbos seem to be lighter and easier to carry than any of the X2 batteries. I have also never missed the power available with the X2.
