laura_dunn
I've done a search on this, and learned I need Camera Raw v3.4 plug in, which I downloaded, but still can't get CS2 or Elements to open my NEF files from my D200. Help! I hadn't anticipated problems, it's a new camera and I've worked with RAW from my D70 and D70s without difficulty. What should I be doing to use this plug in with photoshop. I prefer elements, I have version 4. All of the searches I've done on this topic had very straight forward answers, but I can't figure it out. Thanks. robert_martin5
I have a D200 and have no problems opening NEF files with Photoshop CS2 and ACR 3.4. Check to see what version of the plug-in Photoshop is using - Help > about Plug-ins > Camera RAW. You should see version 3.4, if not you probably put in in the wrong location. I have a PC and the location for the PC is: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-ins\CS2\File Formats\Camera Raw.8BI, I don't know the path for the Mac. godfrey
The correct place to put the Camera Raw v3.4 plug-in on a Mac OS X system is:
/Libary/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS2/File Formats/Camera Raw.plugin

Godfrey
