ward
I have an option on a Canon IVSB whose only flaw seems to be that the rangefinder is a little out of alignment. I am not sure if it measures the distance accurately or not, but the two images do not line up. Has anyone experience adjusting rangefinders on these cameras?

Thanks a lot!

--ward
john_shriver
It's exactly the same as on a screwmount Leica. Vertical adjustment (do first) by removing the trim ring on the round window on the front, and rotate the wedge prism that is a friction fit in that hole. Horizontal adjustment (with a known properly built and calibrated lens set to infinity) by removing the screw on the front, and using a small screwdriver to the set-screw inside that hole.
The moon is a great "infinitely distant" target to use, and is quite bright at the moment every night.
